Poncho → Launch a token on BSC
Launch a token on BSC
Two questions start a launch: a name and a ticker. Everything else has a default you can change on the Review screen before you confirm.
What it costs
Review shows every cost before you confirm.
| Cost | Charged by | When |
|---|---|---|
| Launch fee | BSC | Read from the chain when you launch |
| Gas | BNB Smart Chain | Estimated for your launch at that moment |
| Service fee, 0.001 BNB | Poncho | Only if the launch succeeds, as a separate transfer after it confirms |
| Developer buy, optional | You set it | Up to 5 BNB, bought in the launch transaction |
Review shows the expected total and the most your wallet must hold while the launch is sent. A launch that fails costs the gas already used. Poncho's 0.001 BNB is not charged.
What you fill in
- Name: up to 32 characters.
- Ticker: letters and numbers, up to 10.
- Description: up to 500 characters, optional. It is stored on the chain, so every character costs gas.
- Image: PNG, JPEG, WebP or GIF, up to 5 MB, optional. It goes to public IPFS, where anyone can fetch it for good, so choose the final one. Before upload, Poncho removes location and camera data from PNG, JPEG and WebP files.
- Links: X, Telegram and a website, each optional.
- Wallet: which of your wallets launches the token and pays for it.
- Developer buy: how much of your own token to buy, up to 5 BNB, optional. It is bought in the same transaction that creates the token.
- Creator settings: your creator fee, the wallet that receives it, and Buyback & Lock.
A launch cannot be undone. Review says so before you confirm.
What is fixed at launch
| Setting | After the launch |
|---|---|
| Creator fee rate, 0 to 10% | Fixed forever. Nobody can change it, including you. |
| Name, ticker, description, image and links | Set at launch. Poncho has no way to change them. |
| Fee recipient | Can be moved to another wallet at any time. |
| Buyback & Lock | Can be switched on or off later. |
After the launch: My Launches
Every token you launched is in My Launches. Open one to see its status, market cap, your creator fee rate, the wallet that receives the fees and whether Buyback & Lock is on.
Creator fees
Your creator fee is a percentage of every trade in your token, paid to the wallet you chose. It builds up as people trade, whether or not you hold any of the token. Tap Creator Fees to see what is ready and claim it.
Change Fee Recipient
This moves your creator fees to another wallet. Only future creator fees go to the new wallet, and only the new recipient can change it again. The button appears when one of your Poncho wallets is the current recipient.
Buyback & Lock
With Buyback & Lock on, after BSC takes its share, a slice of your creator-fee share, set by the protocol, buys your token back on the market. Those tokens are locked and released gradually, split between you and the protocol. They are not burned and not paid to you now. Your creator fee itself still pays out to you in full.
You can switch it on or off from My Launches. Switching it off stops future fees going into the buyback. It does not release what is already waiting there: only BSC can convert that, and until it does, those fees cannot be claimed.
Reinvest Fees
Reinvest Fees saves a percentage. When you tap Claim & Reinvest now, Poncho claims your fees and spends that share buying your token into your wallet. The tokens are yours to sell. It runs only when you tap it.
Burn and transfer
Burn 50% and Burn 100% destroy that share of the tokens your launch wallet holds. A burn is permanent. Transfer Tokens sends them to another address.
Check it yourself
Your launch message links the transaction on the BNB Smart Chain explorer and the token's page on BSC. The chain is the record.
Questions
Can I change my creator fee after the launch?
No. The rate is written when the token is created, and nobody can change it afterwards.
What happens if the launch fails?
You pay the gas the network already used. Poncho's 0.001 BNB is not charged.
Do I need to write any code?
No. The whole launch happens in the Telegram chat.
